I don't know which religion to believe?

I am from a Christian family and I believe in God and am Christian (I've accepted Jesus) but I also believe in the Torah (which is basically the first part of the Bible) I've never observed any Jewish Laws or Holidays but I'm wondering if I should because the Jewish God is the same as the Christian God. I feel like I'm missing something if I don't follow Jewish law. I want to be Jewish AND Christian, but people tell me I can't believe in Jesus if I want to Jewish. Is there any way I can follow Jewish laws but still be Christian and believe in Jesus.
