Yes. Judaism whether you wish to believe this or not is an extension of the faith in the "Aton." of Egypt. Trouble here though, is that you have MAN and HIS "desires." Wherever you have mankind, you will have FAILURE. It is why in the beginnings of Judaism you have the failure of the story of creation. "Two" stories and not just one. If you study Egyptian history, you will find out TRUTH. If you study Egyptian history you will find "where" much of what attributed to having been written by David or Solomon was actually written by Amenhotep the fourth or better known as "Akhenaton." Of course, devout Jewish scholars will not accept this but recent discoveries attest to this truth. Even the Exodus is nothing but a mother goose story inflated by the egos of Jewish writers, not surprising since they did this periodically throughout their HISTORY. As for the captivity to Egypt, it also never EXISTED. Egyptian history attests to this FACT. Religions are not based on FACT but INFLUENCES upon the IGNORANT. The mind can dream up anything possible and pushed upon those who are not very smart, well, you can guess the outcome.Those who do not bother to learn of history for themselves. THAT is the basis of FAITH. At least that which you deal within RELIGIONS for as long as you have the truly ignorant, you will have them defending all they believe in, even if based upon delusions for the insane will KILL anyone who stands in their way and HAVE for centuries.
