The Zohar and Philip S. Berg?

I have a copy of The Zohar: Parashat Pinchas, vol. 1 translated by Philip S. Berg, 1986. Is this the same as the unorthodox Berg of the Kabbalah Center in LA? Anyone have an opinion on this translation? I have vol. 1 & 2 of the Pritzker edition, and an old 5 volume set. I'm a fan of the very orthodox Aryeh Kaplan. So don't bother warning me off Berg and his version of Kabbalah, I'm not interested in it (or saying how great he is, either). I just wondered about his translation.
